INVESTMENT GROUNDS – A PERFECT PLACE FOR AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION
A couple of kilometres from Mszczonów, along Warsaw-Katowice route, stretches a sparsely populated area of over 800 hectares, on which an airstrip could be located. Central Railway Trunk-line runs along the area’s peripheries. There is also a side-track. The whole area is fully developed.

THE AREA ASSIGNED FOR AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION
§	fully developed and has a convenient location from the communicational point of view
§	quick road Warszawa- Katowice
§	TIR transit route Słubice –Brześć, whose segment from Góra Kalwaria to Sochaczew acts as Warsaw’s ring road.
§	Central Railway Trunk-line connecting Warsaw and Silesia, which constitutes a part of North – South Railway Route
§	East – West Transit Railway Route (Słubice- Terespol)

SUITABLE LOCATION
§	A-2 Motorway (east-west) is going to cross the neighbouring areas of Mszczonów
§	first option (so-called governmental, via Ursynów) assumes that the motorway will be built about 12 kilometres from the city, close to neighbouring city of Żyrardów,
§	second option (so-called self-governmental, via Góra Kalwaria) assumes the motorway’s passage only one kilometre from investment area on which the airport can be located.
§	and argument for placing the airport in Msczonów is also the city’s geographical location and climatic conditions which result from it.
§	Mszczonów has the highest elevation on Mazovia Lowland, its elevation is 100 m higher that that of Warsaw.

The city’s specific location causes that:

§	there aren’t any big rivers and water reservoirs in its neighbourhood
§	there aren’t big forests
§	less often than in lower-located neighbouring cities and areas we can observe phenomena such as:
- rain
- snow
- fog
- icing
