THE COMMUNE’S DEVELOPMENT IS CONTRIBUTED TO BY :
BRITISH DEVELOPER EDC (EUROPA DISTRIBUTION CENTER) - THE ONLY INVESTMENT DEVELOPER IN POLAND
§ A British developer, Europa Distribution Center, has already purchased almost 150 hectares of ground in Mszczonów, where an investment called EUROPA PARK has been started.
§ EUROPA PARK is to be the biggest logistic and storing centre in Poland. The British encourage other companies to start their activities in Mszczonów – they offer them a possibility to rent ready production halls or buying developed investment areas.
RING-ROAD
Mszczonów’s ring-road (lentgh : 9km) has been divided into two phases :
Phase I (length : 3 km) from Słabomierz to Warszawska street with two-level crossroads over Route No. 8, will be ready to use in the first half of 2004.
Phase II (projecting phase at the moment, length: 6 km) from Warszawska street to the village of Zbiroża, realisation of this phase is planned for years 2005-2007.
The ring road will allow moving all the transit traffic outside the city and assigning new investment areas in the city’s peripheries.
SUITABLE LEVEL OF THE CITY’S INFRASTRUCTURE
§ Mszczonów is gasified in 90% /the gas is distributed by middle pressure gas pipeline/
§ The city has its own water intake with a surplus which can be exploited
§ Has its own waste-water clarification unit as well as solid cast-off piling field
§ In the recent years the city’s power grid was modernized
§ The city has at its disposal a developed water-supply and sewage networks
§ There are four bank outlets in Mszczonów
EXAMPLES FROM OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY
It is worth noticing that Mszczonów’s twin-city is Bavarian ERDING. Both cities were connected by geothermy. Mszczonów and Erding are the only cities in Europe exploiting sweet geothermal waters. Erding is located 40 km from Munich, exactly same distance as from Mszczonów to Warsaw. If Munich airport has been located in Erding, perhaps both cities should be made similar to each other in this aspect as well?
